ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY

In 1825 the presidential election was decided in the House of Representatives. They chose John Quincy Adams over Andrew Jackson.

In 1964 The Beatles made a huge splash on the Ed Sullivan show. (I actually remember that one.)

In 1971 Leroy "Satchel" Paige became the first veteran of the negro league to be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
