A bitter feud between President Donald Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi boiled over at his State of the Union speech on Tuesday, with Trump snubbing her outstretched hand and Pelosi ripping apart a copy of his remarks behind his back.
Trump delivered the astonishing snub to Pelosi as he started his speech by ignoring her as she offered him a handshake, which set the tone for the condemnation of his political enemies and his presidential predecessors in front of a divided Congress.
He simply turned away as the Speaker took her copy of his speech, then stood in front of a chamber which echoed with cries of 'four more years' from Republicans - and where Democrats sat stone-faced for the beginning of his speech.
The speech was so contentious and divisive that Pelosi tore it up when the president was done speaking. As he left the dais, she ripped the pages in half and threw them down.
Trump strode to the front of Congress knowing that he will be acquitted by the Republican Senate within less than 24 hours, and boosted by a 49% approval rating in a Gallup poll.
EDITOR’S NOTE: It’s open warfare between Donald and Nancy for all to see.

Assuming that was the actual, official copy of the speech (and maybe it wasn't) destroying it is actually a violation of federal law. Not that she would ever be charged. Also, it was NOT as spontaneous as she would have you believe. A careful playback shows her early in the speech picking up and starting a small tear on small batches of the paper. I guess she doesn't have much grip strength and needs to cheat a little to tear six sheets of paper.
It was the official copy that Trump gave her in an official binder.
