Stockton may be a crime ridden and gang infested shithole, the arm pit of California, but it's denizens are striving for normalcy in these trying times.
There were multiple shooting incidents on Sunday. At least some of them can sort-of be blamed on the Covid-19 lockdown.
The most serious of these incidents took place about 4:45 p.m. on N. El Dorado St. where it crosses over the Calaveras River. Normally this is a very busy piece of road, it goes up to the two largest malls in Stockton and the Community College. Now the road resembles a bowling alley on Tuesday morning. Two bad guys with rifles popped up, presumably out of the river bed (trolls I guess) to rob the victims. They then shot the victims AFTER the forked over their valuables. They are both in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another incident took place a few blocks north of the first one at about 8 p.m. Also what would normally be a high traffic area even on a Sunday. A woman noticed she was being followed in her car by TWO vehicles. A passenger in one of the vehicles opened fire on her, firing ten shots. The woman was injured by one round.
At 8 a.m. the same day a young man driving on S. San Joaquin St. near Eighth St. (not a good part of town) when a shooter in another car started blasting at him. The driver was not hurt.
In another incident about 7:45 p.m. two women got into some sort of a disagreement that ended up with one woman using her car as a battering ram on the second woman's vehicle. No injures. The first woman was arrested for ADW and felony stupidity.
