Sandra Lee Harmon, 56, used to be a denizen of Half Moon Bay, CA. It is a lovely place by the way. At about 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday the S.O. responded to calls of a woman with booze and a rifle on Martin St.
The deputies arrived. They issued numerous commands for her to drop the weapon. She declined to do so, then swung the weapon, which turned out to be a shotgun, on the deputies and fired one round. They deputies fired back a bunch of rounds. She missed. They didn't. She assumed room temperate at the local hospital.
Drunk makes you stupid. Drunk and armed makes you stupid and dangerous, and doesn't improve your marksmanship for the most part or your decision making processes. Damn shame, but............

A couple we have known for 40 years try to visit Half Moon Bay each year. She grew up there. Beautiful place.
