PG&E wants very badly to change it's corporate culture, or at least APPEAR TO change it's corporate culture. Consequently it is preparing to sack about 75% of it's existing board as it comes out of bankruptcy. Assuming the court agrees there will be only 3 current members of the 14 person board left on the payroll by June 30. Most of the board members have been on board for less than 18 months.
Both Gavin Newsom, HMFIC of the formerly great state of California and the Public Utilities Commission want an even more radical corporate chop. Newsom would like to see a publicly owned public utility. That gives him and his commie pals even more political power. Plus more money to give to undocumented democrats to bribe them to vote for him.
