There
is, apparently aa old law, from 1967, that permits members of congress
to carry firearms on the grounds of the U. S. capitol. A group of
Democrap legislators are attempting to have this law repealed. The
dickwad pushing this is apparently Jarad Huffman, D-California. Back in
1967 when carrying of weapons on the capitol grounds by the general
public was outlawed this carve-out was inserted at the request of the
Capitol Hill Police Department. It is unknown how many members avail
themselves of this right.
The
liberal weenies are whining that possession of firearms by their
colleagues actually makes things LESS safe due to possible misuse or
loss of the weapons. As far as anybody can tell no member of congress
has actually fired a weapon on the capitol grounds since forever.
Nancy
Pelosi thinks changing the law and taking this ability away is a truly
wonderful idea. She has Secret Service protection so she doesn't care. .

If the congress allows this to happen to them, just think what they will allow to happen to the people.
It's like lining up for a pogrom. Sensible people don't do that. I am just not sure congress is made up of sensible people. I'm sure they would be just as happy if the whole thing were not made public so I expect they will somehow ignore the idea to death.
