IS TRUMP ABOUT TO REHIRE THE KRAKEN CRACKPOT?

The Trump campaign may have distanced itself from attorney Sidney Powell in its longshot fight to overturn the presidential election results, but President Trump has another job in mind for the controversial lawyer, The New York Times reports.

During a Friday meeting at the White House, Trump discussed making Powell a special counsel investigating voter fraud, two people briefed on the discussion told the Times. The president's advisers were reportedly not fond of the idea — Powell has largely fallen out of favor even among Trump's most ardent loyalists because she's pushed baseless conspiracy theories that Trump's loss stemmed from a Venezuelan plot involving corrupted voting machines.

Powell was at the White House for the meeting, which reportedly became "raucous" at times, and accused Trump's advisers of being quitters, the Times' sources said. Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and White House counsel Pat Cipollone were reportedly two of the people who rejected the idea.

Per the Times, the meeting also involved a discussion about an executive order to take control of voting machines to examine them. Giuliani has reportedly made separate but similar calls for the Department of Homeland Security to seize the machines, only to be told the department does not have the authority to do so.

EDITOR'S NOTE: If this report is correct, and that is questionable since it was reported by The New York Times, then a desperate Trump is going completely  bonkers..  The Kraken Crackpot, who believes QAnon's crazy conspiracy theories - like the long dead Hugo Chavez helped rig the Dominion voting machines - belongs in a nut house, not as any kind of special counsel.

Further evidence of Trump's deteriorating mental health are the tweets he made Saturday.  He lashed out at Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe for blaming the monumental cyber attack on Russia, but which he says was committed by China.  "There could also have been a hit on our ridiculous voting machines during the election, which is now obvious that I won big, making it an even more corrupted embarrassment for the USA."

"I won big."  Yeah, right.  And pigs can fly.

I believe President Trump did win and so does about half of the U.S. population. The M.O. of the election fraud came straight from Mayor Daily's old playbook. As soon as the opponent win was undeniable lock down the polls and dump the hidden ballots. The truth will eventually come out and a lot of Never-Trumpers will have egg on their face.

“Scrutiny? What else do you want? Do you want to take my shorts? Give me a break. How much scrutiny do you want to have? Go scrutinize yourself! I get scrutined (sic) every day, don’t worry, from each and every one of you. It doesn’t bother me.”

It does not make a rat's ass difference what half the country believes when there is no credible evidence that Trump won.

Howie, I thought the comment section was for readers. Readers already know what you think because we read your Never-Trumper and Closet Liberal blog. This election was stolen and instead of an objective investigation "We the People" get a cover up that is supported by a corrupt media.

Evidence..evidence..evidence. That's what it's all about .and there is NONE. Put up or shut up. Trump sound like Kim Jong..a wannabe despot. It's amazing that trumpers will pretty much believe anything that orange idiot will say.

Anonymous, You wouldn't know evidence if it hit you on the head. At least Howie knows that witness statements and testimony have cleared many evidential hurdles in law enforcement. He's just being obstinate.

I am not a Trumper (though I would have much rather he had won). Neither am I a never-Trumper. It is not possible for 145 million people to have voted and there have been ZERO shenanigans. It just isn't and anybody who says that it is is a moron. The real question is whether or not there was massive, systemic, systematic voter fraud, in large part made possible by last-minute changes in voting procedure with COVID being used as either a reason or an excuse depending on how you look at it. Saying YOU DIDN'T PROVE IT or YOU CAN'T PROVE IT is not the same thing as IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. And, as I have said before, JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE RIGHT DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL PREVAIL. Also, JUST BECAUSE YOU LOST DOES NOT MEAN YOU WERE CHEATED. Assuming the Trump supporters in this are correct with the suspiciously large and suspiciously even numbers they are throwing around I would say there was organized voter fraud in some areas of significant numbers it could be meaningful. For instance, when somebody says "There were 19,000 votes filed from fraudulent addresses" I get suspicious. If they KNOW the votes were filed from false addresses then they should know EXACTLY how many there were. I find it hard to believe there were exactly 19,000. Doesn't pass the smell test. If you have the proof, you have the proof, you should present it. If you don't, throwing numbers around does not help your position.

Ya know, there are also a lot of flat-earthers out there who think that, well...the earth is flat. To hell with the evidence that it is a sphere, they still whole-heartedly believe the earth is flat. Now we have the same issue with the trumpers. He lost the election. The votes were counted, recounted, judiciously argued over and he still lost. Trump and his lawyers proclaimed they had mountains of evidence, but for some reason never actually presented any. Trump can't accept that he lost to Biden, so with total disregard of all of the proof that he lost, he insists that he won....evidence be damned. Trump is a political flat-earther and so is everyone else that thinks he still won.

Sorry, I need to add something to my last post. I'm not a democrat nor a republican. If a man (or woman) is best suited to be president then I vote for them. There have been good and bad presidents from both parties and a candidate's political affiliation does not make them inherently better (or worse) than the person they are running against. Trump is an extremely dangerous person. If he could, and I believe he may still try, he would suspend the constitution and install himself as a dictator through an illegal use of martial law. The rumors swirling around the oval office this past week about martial law only strengthens that argument. What is truly sad about all of this is that so many people who consider themselves patriots would actually like to see that happen. And for what? Because they don't like that their candidate lost in an election? Yeah......you want to burn it all down....

Gee...I don't think it was me that threw out all of those court cases for lack of evidence...but it was judges, both democratic and republican. It seems like they know what evidence is supposed to look like huh?

Oh I whole-heartedly agree with what you are saying, in theory. There may be aliens out there. I don't see them, there is no proof of them, but by god they just might be out there! However, I'm not going to plan my dinner tonight on the off-chance that Mr. Spock is going to show up for an inter-planetary get together because there is no evidence that they exist. It's possible Trump was cheated, but we don't throw out an election because someone says he has been cheated without actual proof. That would be like me saying that I think Biden MIGHT have won ever bigger than he did. I cant prove it, so does that mean its true? Or that it is false? That's why the courts need EVIDENCE, not hearsay and rumors.

In a nutshell, your argument is baseless and child-like. Trump basically comes across as a sore loser. So, as Joe Friday would say "Just the facts, ma'am". It's all about the evidence stupid.
