PLAGUE REPORT UPDATE FROM STOCKTON

by Bob Walsh

The plague, aka Covid-19, has hit San Joaquin County fairly hard the last week or so.  As I write this there are zero ICU beds available in the whole county (except at the prison hospitals down the road).  That state the the counties are on a fairly heavy lockdown, at least in theory, that will run thru Christmas.  You are not supposed to take your raindeer rump roast over the river and thru the woods to grandmother's house this year or the plague police might arrest you and lock you in the drunk tank with a bunch of stinky homeless people who all have smokers cough.  No barbers.  No hairdressers.  No bowling alleys.  NO NAIL SALONS.  Civilization as we know it is about to crumble.

We did, however, get some nice rain on Friday and Saturday, the first in many weeks. And the second decent size seed patch job I did on my front lawn had enough time to take pretty good so my lawn no longer looks like it has leprosy.

And as far as I know my favorite local gun store / range is still in operation.  Things look grim, but hope is not completely gone.  The Winter Solstice approaches, light will overcome the darkness, goodness and decency may yet be able to overcome the Democrat-Socialist plague and arugula and tofu may be banished from the grocery stores of the world.

Ho Ho Ho.

232 new cases in Galveston Counties surge. Some slow downs reported for businesses who have state mandatory limits on service. I'm sure there will be a surge reported in La Marque where BLM held a rally of about 50 people. The shooting was justified and should probably be used as a training video for law enforcement.
