Chickens eating Maricopa County shredded Trump ballots
The Republican-controlled Maricopa County Board of Supervisors condemned the “ sham ” of the 2020 presidential results, calling it “ political theater ” backed by “ scammers and con artists. ”
The members of the board did not hesitate to express their dislike for the audit, which examined 2.1 million ballots in the most populous province of Arizona during the election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
It has become the subject of numerous conspiracy theories, including one that state election officials shredded the ballots, gave them to chickens, and then had the chickens burned to cover up the evidence.
Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, a GOP official responsible for keeping records on the country’s 2.6 million registered voters, ridiculed the conspiracy theory that officials shredded ballots, fed them to chickens, and killed chickens to cover up evidence as being ‘pretty top of the charts’
The audit was ordered by the Republican-controlled state senate in Arizona and is paid for with a combination of taxpayers’ money and private donations.
Multiple Republicans in the state have criticized the scrutiny, saying the election was fair and the results – Biden defeating Trump by 10,457 votes, or 0.3 percent of the nearly 3.4 million votes cast – are correct.
Two previous ballot recounts in Maricopa County, where Biden won by more than two points, showed the results to be correct.
‘I will no longer respond to requests from this mock trial. Finalize your check and be ready to defend what you find in court, ”Jack Sellers, a Republican chair of the Maricopa County Board of Trustees, said in Monday’s public meeting.
“This board is done explaining,” he noted. ‘The ballots and people’s money are no pretense. It’s time to get over this madness and get on with the critical affairs of this country. ‘
And in a public rally on Monday evening, the Maricopa County Council criticized the audit as a “ spectacle ” that makes Arizona a “ laughing stock ” and encouraging people to distrust elections.

I will never trust an election again.
I think it was Uncle Joe Stalin who once remarked that the people who vote don't count, it is the people who count the votes that make the difference. He was an asshole, but he wasn't stupid.
