CHICAGO COPS VOTE NO CONFIDENCE IN MAYOR AND TOP COPS

by Bob Walsh

The rank-and-file of the Chicago P D has just taken a no-confidence vote aimed at the psycho mayor, Lori Lightfoot, Police Superintendent David Brown and Firsts Deputy Chief Superintendent Eric Carter.

The r&f have been working without a contract for three years, which isn't going to make them happy to begin with.  That's understandable.  They have also been moved recently to 12 hour shifts and have often had days off cancelled.  In addition the robbery detective squad has been disbanded and moved back into uniform to bolster the uniform presence on the streets.  I guess there are no more robberies in Chicago, just homicides.

Spokesholes for the CPD and the mayor have declined to comment on the FOP vote.
