PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC: French President Emmanuel Macron has slammed Joe Biden for issuing an
'Armageddon' warning saying Russian President
Vladimir Putin was not joking about using nuclear weapons in Ukraine. Macron has said Biden should choose his words carefully.
“We must speak with prudence when commenting on such matters,” Macron told reporters at a European Union summit in Prague of
Joe Biden's
comments. “I have always refused to engage in political fiction, and
especially … when speaking of nuclear weapons,” he added. “On this
issue, we must be very careful.”
Biden also said Armageddon was the highest it had been since the Cuban
missile crisis. He put forth this warning at a fundraising event for
Democrats at the home of James Murdoch, son of media mogul Rupert
Murdoch, in New York City. Biden's warning comes at a time when there
are growing fears that Putin could use tactical
nuclear weapons to push back Ukrainian forces.
"We’ve got a guy I know fairly well," Biden said at the reception for
the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, according to the
Daily Mail.
"He's not joking when he talks about potential use of tactical nuclear
weapons or biological or chemical weapons because his military is — you
might say — significantly underperforming."
Biden told his audience to not be fooled by the idea that smaller,
tactical weapons were not a major threat to the world. "I don't think
there's any such thing as the ability to easily [use] a tactical nuclear
weapon and not end up with Armageddon," he said.
In recent weeks, Ukrainian forces have successfully pushed back
Russian forces. In the wake of such progress on the Ukrainians' part,
several leaders believe Putin could use weapons of mass destruction.
"First time since the Cuban missile crisis, we have the threat of a
nuclear weapon if, in fact, things continue down the path they are
going," the President said.
Officials have not yet noticed a change in Russia's nuclear posture,
but they wonder how Putin could be pushed to give up. Biden said, "We
are trying to figure out, what is Putin’s off-ramp? Where does he find a
way out? Where does he find himself where he does not only lose face
but significant power?"
Before Biden spoke about Putin and the risk of nuclear weapons at the
event, the focus had been on the event's location. The location,
notably, is the home of a family known for its alliance with the
Republican Party. Poking a little fun at the family, Biden said, "This
is not your father’s Republican Party." He described how Trump's
influence had triggered assaults on places such as the Supreme Court and
the White House

Pretty much every word out of Joe Biden's mouth is fiction. His brain is so burnt out he doesn't know the truth from a lie about half the time, and the other half he doesn't care.
