By Bob Walsh
Regular readers will note I
wrote recently about the formerly great state of California moving to
change the name of the Hastings Law School because Sylvanus Hastings was
such an evil mean person. It may not be as easy as they thought.
The
descendants of the late member of the California Supreme Court are
suing for, among other things, breech of contract. It seems that
Hastings paid $100,000 IN GOLD to have the school named after him. They
want the money back. In gold. That would be 3,125 ounces of gold.
Assuming I did the math right that is about $5.3 million.
Of
course it might be worth it for the woke jerks who do this sort of
thing. Especially if they can do it with taxpayer's money.
