STILL TOO MANY PRISONERS...AND THEY ARE TOO POOR

By Bob Walsh

                      California prisons

The Committee on Revision of the Penal Code of the formerly great state of California has determined that the California prison system, which is at it's lowest population in 35 years, still has too many people in the slammer.  They want to kick out even more elderly prisoners.

There is no longer a functional Life Without Parole sentence in CA.  Even persons so sentenced are now at least CONSIDERED for parole once they reach a certain age and a certain portion of their sentence regardless of what the jury said.

The committee also wants to shitcan monetary fines for poor people as the need to pay a fine is not "fair" to poor criminals, a large portion of which are other than White.

The committee was established in 2020 to convince voters and tax payers that they should let everybody out of prison because prison is mean and costs too much money and discriminates against criminals.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Those $20,000, $50,000, $200,000 fines are ridiculous. Almost all inmates released from prison do not have a pot to piss in.
