Biden admin border policy puts US in ‘imminent danger’ with ‘military-aged’ migrant invasion: former FBI officials
The Biden administration’s border policy poses an “imminent danger” to the US, which has been “invaded” by “military-aged men from around the globe,” a group of former FBI officials warned.
In a letter sent Jan. 17 to leaders in the House and Senate, 10 former FBI senior executives said the migrant crisis is ” the most pernicious ever to menace the United States.
“In its modern history, the US has never suffered an invasion of the homeland, and yet one is unfolding now,” according to the officials, which included former Terrorist Screening Center Director Timothy Healy, FBI assistant directors Kevin Brock and Chris Swecker, and Mark Morgan, the former acting commissioner US Customs and Border Protection who also an ex-FBI superintendent.
“Military-aged men from across the globe, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United States are landing in waves on our soil by the thousands — not by splashing ashore from a ship or parachuting from a plane but rather by foot across a border that has been accurately advertised around the world as largely unprotected and with ready access granted,” the letter continued.
The matter is even more pressing than ever, particularly after the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel, they warned.
“It is stark to say so, but having a large number of young males now within our borders who could begin attacking gatherings of unarmed citizens, in imitation of 10/7 and at the behest of a foreign terror group, must be considered a distinct possibility,” the officials wrote.
“We would be remiss not to call out this potentially grave threat in the most direct terms. The warning lights are blinking.”
Migrants were stranded on the riverbed after crossing the Rio Grande at Piedras Negras in Mexico as golfers played on the US side of the border.
The dire missive comes as the most recent statistics from Customs and Border Protection show that more than 302,000 migrants crossed the southern US border with Mexico in December, capping off a record fiscal year that saw an eye-popping 2.4 million migrant encounters.
Republican leaders told The Post Saturday the letter underscores the administration’s capitulation at the border.
“This letter from senior federal law enforcement officers is crystal clear that under Joe Biden’s failed leadership the United States is facing a dangerous invasion threatening out national security and our sovereignty,” said upstate Rep. Elise Stefanik.
California Rep. Darrell Issa said Biden is making a “mockery” of the country’s immigration and asylum laws, allowing millions of migrants to enter and stay in the country and facilitate the smuggling of fentanyl that “kills 100,000 Americans every year.”
“Joe Biden’s open borders are a signature betrayal of our nation,” he said.
And all the more stunning in light of terrorist attacks on our own soil, said New York Rep. Nicole Malliotakis.
“It’s shocking that in a post 9/11 world that the Biden administration would have an open border policy with such lax vetting,” she said. “They are even allowing people with no real identification to board airplanes, which is directly against the 9/11 Commission recommendations.”
