SO, WHAT HAPPENS TODAY ??

I know what SHOULD happen today.  Somebody (should be the NY A.G. but it won't be because she hates Trump and wants to hang his scalp on her wall) SHOULD say that it is clear that Trump is not going to try to hide or damage his assets pending appeal and a half-billion dollar bond is not realistic under the circumstances.  

 

I am hoping a higher court gets involved and says pretty much the same thing.  I understand the precedent is there and there are also some very legitimate 8th Amendment issues here.

 

It is also possible Trump could put up his stake in Truth Social, which is worth several billion dollars but he can't cash out for six months.  Though the board could let him get around that.

 

I believe that Letitia James WANTS to seize (and if possible devalue) Trump properties.  She is probably getting her rocks off on the idea.  Literally.  She hates him and wants to damage him JUST BECAUSE.  She ran on "getting" him.  

 

It's disgusting.  It should be illegal and maybe it is.  She wants to tie him (and his money) up as much as possible for as long as possible in order to damage him in this election cycle.  And she is probably pissed and disappointed that, thus far, it ain't having much effect.  

 

Maybe, just maybe, once all the bullshit is sorted out Fani Willis will go down in flames and Letitia James will be right on her tail.  I am not betting on it happening, but that is what SHOULD happen. 

 

UPDATE: A New York appeals court on Monday agreed to hold off collection of former President Donald Trump's $454 million civil fraud judgment - if he puts up $175 million within 10 days.
