Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Shlomi Ziv, 41, and Andrey Kozlov, 27, were rescued in two separate locations in a complex special daytime operation in the heart of Nuseirat in central Gaza.
The Israeli Defense Force launched a raid into a refugee
settlement in central Gaza on Saturday and retrieved four hostages from
October 7 that were being held in the camp. Those hostages were Noa
Agramani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv,
40. All had been at the Nova Music Festival on October 7 with Hamas
attacked.
There are still
at least 120 hostages still being held by Hamas. One of them is Ms.
Agramani's boyfriend, Avinatan Or. Israel believes that many of the
remaining hostages are probably dead.
I
do not personally have a dog in this fight. That being said I hope
that the prime minister hangs tough. Were I there I would not even
consider any sort of negotiations with Hamas until every hostage had
been released. If you make deals with hostage takers you get more
hostage takers. If you kill hostage takers you get fewer hostage
takers.
The residents of
Gaza voted for Hamas and still strongly support Hamas. You reap what
you sow. My sympathy for them is limited to the point of being pretty
much zero.
