FBI REVISES VIOLENT CRIME STATS

By Bob Walsh

J. Edgar Hoover was FBI director from 1935 until his death in 1972. (Associated Press)

J. Edgar Hoover must be turning over in his grave because of what has been happening to his beloved FBI

The FBI just released "revised" crime data, for the first time in 20 years.  Instead of violent crime going down a few percent over the last couple of years violent crime has in fact gone UP a few percent the last couple of years.

In all fairness to J Edgar Hoover the law does not REQUIRE police agencies report their stats to the FBI and some major jurisdictions in fact do NOT do so because their stats are so bad and the FBI will make them public if they have them.

I remember when the FBI was the premier law enforcement agency.
