Donald Trump created a bizarre tale about Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in an apparent attempt to criticize hydrogen cell car technologies.

The Republican nominee has repeatedly insisted that hydrogen cell cars are unsafe and even explode - though mishaps with the new technology are rare.

He repeated those claims in Atlanta Monday night, and decided to spice up his criticism by imagining Marjorie Taylor Greene blowing up in a car.

'You're not recognizable if something goes wrong,' Trump told the crowd at Georgia Tech.

'If something goes wrong, and Marjorie Taylor Greene with that beautiful blonde hair is driving down the highway in a hydrogen car and the problem with hydrogen car[s], if something goes wrong, it's like the atom bomb. You're not recognizable.'

'But they say, "We think we have it under control." That's not good enough.

'They'll say "We thought it was Marjorie Taylor Greene riding down the middle of the turnpike, but she's no longer recognizable.

'"We found some of her,"' he joked.

He then laughed and said, 'We love her,' before telling her to stand up to be acknowledged by the crowd.

The Republican nominee has previously made similar remarks about former race car driver and model as he headlined Turning Point USA's rally in Nevada.

There are currently 17,000 hydrogen cars are on the road in California - the only state to authorize their use, according to Car & Driver magazine.

The state has a set of rules to ensure that any escaping hydrogen does not run the risk of explosion, the magazine reports.

However, Ukrainian forces have also been able to turn a hydrogen cell car into a hydrogen bomb with the force of 400 pounds of TNT, Jalonik reported.

It inflicted severe damage on Russian forces.

Gas powered cars can explode. CNG powered cars can explode. All electric cars occasionally catch fire for no obvious reason. Life is a risk-benefit analysis, with the government putting a thumb on the scale (for our own good of course).
