REQUIRED ARMED COPS IN CA SCHOOLS ?

By Bob Walsh

Greeley Police Officer Steve Brown stands in the hallway during passing periods at Northridge High School in Greeley, Colo. on Oct. 21, 2016. While school resource officers, like Brown, are expected to handle responsibilities like any police officer they're faced with unique challenges working day-to-day in schools

Assemblyman Bill Essayli (R-Corona) has, in the wake of the Seventh Day Adventist school shooting, introduced AB68.  This bill would, if passed into law, mandate armed police in schools in California.

There are democrat super-majorities in both houses in CA so don't hold your breath on this going anywhere.
