Turning Point USA had an event on November 10 at UC
Berkeley. It was permitted and sanctioned. There were a fair number of
people protesting outside who seemed to earnestly believe that nobody
should be allowed to talk anywhere about anything that they did not
personally agree with. It got violent. People were hurt. More people
were arrested.
On November
11 the DOJ announced that their civil rights division was going to
investigate the situation with a focus on the University and the City of
Berkeley for not protecting the persons there to attend the event.

Something very interesting going on there. It seems that whenever there is a conservative speaker the QR scanners mysteriously go down at the venue, forcing the attendees to access the venue from a very limited number of entrances where they are much more open to physical attack by "protesters" than they would be if all of the QR scanners were working. This has happened at least twice and maybe more, depending on who you ask. Maybe I am just nasty and suspicious but it seems to me that is internal sabotage and not an accident. That might interest the feds.
