Jon Richelieu-Booth says he posted the image while on holiday in Florida
There
are some truly scary laws in the U.K. which are, at least on occasion,
enforced. I came across this item on one of the fire arms blogs I haunt
It
seems that, back in August, an IT consultant with the rather
interesting name of Jon Richelieu-Booth, 50, was arrested by the
constabulary in West Yorkshire. He had been in the United States and
had a photo taken of himself firing a pump shotgun here in the U.S.
This occurred on private property in Florida. (His form was terrible by
the way.) He posted the photo on social media. Apparently the photo
of him was so disturbing to somebody that he was arrested for posting
it.
His post was along the order of "this is one of the things I did on such-and-such a day while visiting in the U.S."
The charges were dropped one week before his scheduled court appearance.
