THE COUNTRY IS CRAWLING WITH SOCIALISTS

Katie Wilson was just elected to be the Mayor of Seattle, Washington.  She is a self-described Socialist.

Rae Huang has just announced she is running for mayor of Los Angeles.  She is a self-described Socialist.  She is also pimping free transit and "housing for everybody" among other things.  Karen Bass, the current mayor, is an actual Communist but she is not advertising the fact and has been trying very hard since her days with Vinceremos to pretend she is merely a good liberal.  It isn't true, but with a D behind her name it doesn't really matter to most people.  About one third of the CA voters would vote for a porta-potty can for office if it was running as a democrat.

I personally don't give fuck about New York City, Seattle, or Los Angeles.  The fifteen or twenty percent of the people who live there who are not raving idiots have my sympathy, but as long as the museums and sports teams survive the cities themselves can go down the crapper for all I care.  And I pretty much expect them to do so.
