The grand and glorious governor of the formerly great state of California signed by SB704 and AB1263 into law.
SB704
decrees that firearms barrels be treated the same as firearms in the
formerly great state of California. So if you want to buy a new or an
accessory barrel for a weapon you can only buy it in a face-to-face
transaction with a FFL dealer with a background check and appropriate
fee.
AB1263 decrees that
"firearms accessories" can only be sold in a face-to-face transaction
with a verification of the purchasers age. The term "firearms
accessory" is not at all defined. A 6X32 machine screw could be termed
to be a "firearms accessory" because it can be used to hold the grips on
a revolver. A set of new grips for your old pistol or a new magazine
for anything would apparently be covered.
I
know for a fact one major firearms parts and accessory manufacturer and
direct retail seller has already announced that they will cease all
shipments to CA except to FFL holders.
