At least I would not have thought it. Jakarta is now the largest metropolitan area in the world according to the United Nations. A total of 42 million, now edging out Tokyo. I somehow suspect the standard of living isn't as good as Tokyo by a long shot, but I have zero information on which to base that suspicion. Could be simple prejudice. I am still not scheduling my next vacation there.
