Something which I think is really interesting hit the
broadcast news in NorCal on Thursday morning. It concerns Dana
Williamson, the recently arrested former chief of staff of Governor
Newsom. She had apparently been involved in a grotty little ($225,000)
thievery scheme involving a dormant political campaign account. Her two
co-defendants have both admitted criminal involvement in the scheme.
The
news pieces asserted AS FACT that Dana Williamson had been approached
last year (during the Biden administration) by the FBI to supply
evidence in an investigation of Gavin Newsom. She declined, asserting
that she had no useful information to supply. This assertion came from
Williamson's lawyer in her current criminal legal problems so it seems
very likely that it is true.
If
you throw together the possible federal investigation of the High Speed
Rail project in California and the possible federal investigation into
the very high dollar CA state capitol construction project, in which
pretty much EVERYBODY involved, including construction worker grunts and
members of the legislature, have had to sign NDAs, the stinky stuff
could be flying around Sacramento with great volume and velocity fairly
soon.

I knew a fella who it seemed was always involved in a scandle of some sort. One night over a beer at a local watering hole he laughed and said, "Deny everything, Admit nothing and remember an Indictment isn't a conviction." After his Rabbi retired he did likewise. His favorite word was "Mutha-Fooker!" I'll bet he used it in every other sentence. He's been dead at least 10 years. Howie, I'll wager you know who I'm talking about.
