Some
of the few Republican members of congress from CA are going to try to
pressure CA to reduce their gas tax. The idea is to withhold highway
funds from any state where the gas tax exceeds a certain level.
Even
if the legislation passes I fully expect the formerly great state of CA
to say FUCK YOU, keep doing what they are doing and then sue the feds
over reducing their slice of the federal pie.
It's not like they don't have priors for that.
