Three youngsters bet their lives a few days ago on the driving skill of an unlicensed 15-year old. They lost their bet. And their lives.
Cindy Sanchez, 15, was out driving around on Friday night with three other teenagers. She had her dad's car without his permission. He had in fact reported it stolen BEFORE the crash.
There were a total of ten people in the SUV, including the driver's 18 month old daughter and 13 year old brother. She was driving fast, and badly, just before midnight on Long Island. She was weaving in and out of traffic when she lost control and rolled the Trailblazer into a marsh. The three dead kids were not wearing seat belts and were ejected.
The young woman is facing three charges of vehicular manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. Her baby survived the crash. Her brother did not.
