COPS TASER 87-YEAR OLD LADY FOR FELONY WEED REMOVAL.

by Bob Walsh

On Friday of last week the local constabulary in Chatsworth, GA. received a phone call concerning an old lady with a knife "loitering" near a school building. They also mentioned that she was only marginally ambulatory.

The cops showed up and discovered the woman, who is from Syria and does not speak English, gathering dandelions for a salad. They tried to convince her to drop the knife. Tried charades. Didn't work, so they lit her up so she could do the funky chicken. That worked.

The Chief was fully supportive of his officers, pointing out that they followed procedure with a non-compliant armed suspect. The woman's grand-nephew, Solomon Donhne, told the cops that he was formerly a police officer himself and was of the opinion that two young, strong cops should have been able to handle an 87-year old woman who could barely walk, even if she was armed with a knife.

I am inclined to agree with the nephew.

Even though she was carrying a knife to cut flower stems, her age and physical ability should have negated any use of force. Officers should have at the most surveilled this lady until she returned home.

Common sense is fleeing judgement in America.
