That iconic comic book guru, Stan Lee, cashed out his chips on Monday at age 95.
Stan gave dimension to comic book super heros that was lacking previously. He eventually became president and publisher of Marvel Comics. At his height he wrote one comic book per night for ten years. He developed characters and general plot lines, handed them off to production people, and then took them back for a final polish and put his name (deservedly I think) to the finished product.
He also had bit parts in many of the movies made from his stories.
