Abbas Vows to Defeat Trump's Plan for Peace

US President Donald Trump's plan for Middle East peace will fail, just like those of his predecessors, if the Palestinian Authority has anything to say about the matter.
At a ceremony marking the 14th anniversary of the death of his mentor, Yasser Arafat, current Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas vowed to outright reject Trump's "deal of the century."
The controversial American leader has shaken up the standard formula for Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking, which for the past 25 years has failed to yield any significant results.
Senior US officials were cited by Israeli media as saying that Trump's plan will be published "soon."
Abbas insisted that it won't matter, telling the Palestinians that they will find another way to "end the occupation." He went on to call the Balfour Declaration a "conspiracy," ignoring the fact that at the time of its publication in 1917, Arab leaders were in favor of re-establishing a national home for the Jewish people in the Middle East.
In particular, Abbas stood firm on his insistence that the Palestinians will accept no peace agreement that does not make the eastern half of Jerusalem their capital city.
Last year, Trump publicly recognized Israel's claim to a united Jerusalem, telling the world that he had taken the Holy City "off the table" for future negotiation.

You can't blame the Palestinians.
The overt hostility of the Obama administration towards Israel combined with the radical anti-Israel American Jewish left would cause any Palestinian to think within due time they will achieve
All of their goals.
I hate to say it, but I think it will eventually end with a so-called
"One state" solution. Survey after survey has shown that most young american Jews don't have the same connection to israel and dont remember the 1980s suicide bombings and terrorism.
They refuse to accept that the Palestinians don't have peace or a state for one reason only; they dont want it.
They want a Jew free Palestine, and with a democratic American president, support from George Soros and the American Jewish left they think they can get there.
