The Civil Grand Jury in Sacatomato County expressed it's unhappiness with current Sheriff, Scott Jones, when he literally locked the then Inspector General, former Sheriff Rick Braziel, out of buildings and records controlled by the S.O.
The Grand Jury expressed that the county does inadequate oversight to the D.A. and the S.O. and recommends that additional power be given to an oversight commission ensure that this situation does not occur again.
There is a push underway in the legislature of the formerly great state of California to create permanent, outside oversight boards with subpoena power and the legal authority to conduct investigations.
