UNDERSTANDABLE REACTION BUT ALSO MAYBE OVER-REACTION
by Bob Walsh
This happened Thursday in the Walmart in Springfield, MO. This fellow in his early 20s walked into the WalMart carrying both a pistol and an AR-15 on a sling. He was also wearing a tactical load vest that was inaccurately referred to as body armor. He got a shopping cart and walked around the store a bit, talking and filming himself with his cell phone. He interacted appropriately with a few customers, but many people freaked out at his appearance. The manager pulled a fire alarm to empty the building. The doofus left by an emeregency exit and was detained at gunpoint by an armed off-duty firefighter. The doofus was arrested for menacing even though there is no information, at least, so far that he directly threatened or pointed a weapon at anybody.
He did have a couple of electronic media postings indicating he was upset at Walmart for refusing to sell ammo to people under 21.
It would not surprise me if young Mr. Doofus is released without formal charges. He is guilty of being a dumb shit but I can't tell that he is guilty of anything else. Except maybe recording in the store without permission, which may not even be illegal in Missouri.

It appears he was merely trying to make a point. And he did.
Well done.
