African-American Trump Supporter Murdered At His Home In Riverwest

A highly visible and well known African-American supporter of President Trump was murdered near his home on Wright Street in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood yesterday afternoon.
Bernell Trammell has for years marched and carried signs in Milwaukee touting a variety of causes. But he upped his profile the last several weeksand has been seen around the city carrying pro-Trump signs and loudly proclaiming his support for the President. Trammell, 60, has been at someof the local BLM protests while holding his Trump signs. I personally have seen him a number of times. He was a little loud, but seemed kind and wassort of funny, in his own way.
His home in Riverwest is plastered with signs for various political and religious causes, including his support for Trump. Over the years he has made YouTube videos of himself, the most recent being a video showing his support for Milwaukee mayoral candidate Lena Taylor.
Milwaukee Police say they do not have a motive for the killing and have released few details. But a number of people have raised questions on social media about whether Trammell was killed because of his demonstrations for Trump. Riverwest is a very diverse community but is predominantly liberal.
Trammell has had run-ins with the law and there could be any number of reasons he was killed. A woman obtained a restraining order against him several years ago so he had some issues. Let us hope his political beliefs and activism have nothing to do with this.
