Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday slammed Republican Rep. Ted Yoho of Florida from the House floor for denying he called her a “fucking bitch” on the steps of the Capitol.

“In front of reporters, Representative Yoho called me, and I quote, a fucking bitch,” the New York Democrat recounted for the Congressional Record.

The 30-year-old former bartender said Republicans are broadly complicit for not condemning Yoho and said it revealed a “cultural” problem of accepting verbal abuse of women.

“I have tossed men out of bars that have used language like Mr. Yoho. And I have encountered this type of harassment riding the subway in New York City. This is not new. And that is the problem,” said the congresswoman, better know by her initials, AOC.

Yoho on Monday confronted Ocasio-Cortez outside the Capitol, telling the New York Democratic socialist that she was “disgusting” for her recent remarks tying poverty and unemployment to the recent spike in crime in New York City, according to The Hill.

On Wednesday, Yoho denied using “offensive name-calling words” but said he apologized for “the abrupt manner of the conversation I had.”

Ocasio-Cortez, who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens, said she was incensed by the denial.

“I was just gonna pack it up and go home. It’s just another day … [But] yesterday, Representative Yoho decided to come to the floor of the House of Representatives and make excuses for his behavior. And that I could not let go. I could not allow victims of verbal abuse, and worse, to see that, to see that excuse. And to see our Congress accept it as legitimate,” AOC said.

The progressive darling said she hasn’t received any supportive outreach from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) or from the Republican who was with Yoho at the time of the disputed verbal attack.

“Mr. Yoho was not alone. He was walking shoulder to shoulder with Representative Roger Williams [of Texas],” AOC said.

Ocasio-Cortez made her condemnation personal, adding: “I am two years younger than Mr. Yoho’s youngest daughter. I am someone’s daughter, too. My father, thankfully, is not alive to see how Mr. Yoho treated his daughter.”

AOC said she also was disrespected by President Trump when he last year tweeted that progressive congresswomen should “go back” to where they’re from.

Fellow House Democrats — including co-members of the leftist “Squad” — spoke in support of AOC.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) linked Trump to Yoho’s conduct.

“Nearly every woman in the world has experienced verbal abuse, not just once, but since they were little girls. We experienced it on playground. We experienced it in workplaces, we experienced it on our social media feeds. We see it coming regularly from the president of the United States. And now we see it coming from his partisan lackeys,” Omar said.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said: “I would invite any of my colleagues across the aisle to answer the calls into my office for just one day to hear the vile sexist remarks made about me and other women serving in this chamber. When my colleague from Florida made the remark in question, he echoed and perpetuated those sexist violent calls.”

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) linked Yoho’s words to Trump’s 2017 attack on NFL players who kneel during the National Anthem as sons of bitches.

“This is not the first time we heard this B word used by people in positions of authority. A higher office in this country has corrupted the discourse,” Green said. “This scatology with the B word is something that demeans every woman when it is used.”

Rep. Al Green has an excuse for everything but his own incompetence.

Isn't Al Green the guy who questioned a Navy admiral because he was concerned that building up our Navy base on Guam could overweight the island and cause it to tip over? (True story).
