San
Joaquin County is being reined back by the state. Bars are closing
again. Barber shops and beauty parlors are being shut down again.
Tattoo parlors and whore houses are being shut down. Things are rough
all over.
ICU
beds are filled up and two days ago the feds sent in medical teams to
help out. Hospital bed space is available but without additional
staffing the beds can't be serviced.
They
are now doing more widespread Covid-19 testing in this county, if you
don't mind waiting in line in your car for several hours to have a large
Q-Tip rammed up your nose and into your brain.
The
local schools are mostly going with "distance learning" (internet joke
classes with cheat-as-you-go testing) for at least several weeks, maybe a
half-year, maybe a full year.
They closed down the WalMart in Manteca (one city south of Stockton) because one employee tested positive for Covid-19.
However, the dump is still open. Yippee skippee.

However, the dump no longer takes cash because cash is yucky. Plastic is not yucky.
