Senator Ted Cruz attempted to take a hit at Biden's decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord in a tweet on Wednesday night but was quickly mocked by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
'By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he's more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh,' Cruz had claimed.
AOC fired back, highlighting that the accord is only named after Paris as it was negotiated by 196 states during a summit held there in 2016. 'Do you also believe the Geneva Convention was about the views of the citizens of Geneva?' she questioned.
She also accused him of hypocrisy after Cruz backed unfounded claims of election fraud in Pennsylvania which targeted Pittsburgh in particular.
