There
was an unpublicized Covid vaccination for San Joaquin County residents
at Robert Cabral Ag. Center this past weekend. It was SUPPOSED TO BE
for home health care workers and at-risk senior citizens. In fact many
people in non-priority groups showed up and were in fact vaccinated.
It
seems there was no pre-registration required and no meaningful
screening of those that showed up. The county health director, Dr.
Maggie Park, said that in the future she wants to release vaccine only
to events when there is a registration system in place and an
appointment system so elderly or frail senior citizens are not waiting
around for hours to get vaccinated.
