THE HEAT IS MOVING NORTH......TO CANADA

THE HEAT is the local minor league hockey team.  They have been playing in Stockton for five years and recently signed a one year extension on the venue here.  They did, however, just announce that they will be playing the 2021 season Calgary, where the Flames have an arena.  

Everybody involved says that this does not necessarily mean The Heat will not be back in Stockton, just not this year.  There has been professional hockey in Stockton for 15 years now.  The prior team was the Thunder.
