According
to the state attorney general the New York Dept. of Public Health
undercounted Covid-19 deaths in New York State by about 50%
deliberately.
The report
seems especially focused on nursing home related deaths. It seems that
nursing home patients who got sick with Covid-19 in the nursing home and
were then shipped to hospital where they died were NOT counted as
Covid-19 deaths.
Regular
readers will probably remember that back in March Governor Cuomo
required that nursing homes readmit patients who had active Covid-19
cases Law makers have demanded full, accurate numbers since last
summer. Governor Cuomo has been tap-dancing like Gregory Hines in an
effort to avoid doing so.
