Fire
Captain Max Fortuna, 47, was a 21 year veteran of the Stockton Fire
Department. At about 5 a.m. this morning, while he and his crew were
fighting a dumpster fire near Washington and Aurora St, under the
Crosstown Freeway, he was shot to death. A suspect, male, 67, is in
custody and a gun was recovered at the scene.
