Sept. 22 three women, Jordan Nixon 21, Janessa Torres, 21, and Johanna
Zavala, 44, were at JFK for a flight to Puerto Rico. Their flight got
delayed a few hours so the Long Island women went to the bar and downed
nine drinks between them while waiting for their flight. When they
showed up the gate attendant believed them to be too shit-faced to fly
safely and notified the flight crew. The Captain and another member of
the crew showed up at the gate, told the women they were too drunk to
board and suggested they reschedule for a later flight. Security was
called in case the women got stupid. They did. One of the women
grabbed the security guard's radio and began beating him with it. The
women then attacked a gate attendant who tried to help the security
guard.
The feds are
proceeding with this case against Nixon and Zavala, who were the ones
who got physical with the employees, neither of who have returned to
work since the incident.
I
kind of wonder how one security guard could not handle three drunk
women, unless he was totally untrained or unwilling to act for fear of
hurting someone and being sued. Of course I wasn't there, so..........
