WELL, THAT DIDN'T GO AT ALL LIKE PLANNED

by Bob Walsh

An as-yet unnamed man in Oregon called the Josephine County S O on Wednesday.  It seems that there was as bear "on his property" and, while attempting to load his gun he accidentally discharged the gun and shot and killed his brother.  The caller than shot and killed himself.  The cops found both bodies under circumstances that match up with this scenario.  The bear was long gone.

It is truly unfortunate but that is why muzzle awareness is stressed during any sort of reasonable firearms safety or hunter safety classes.

It is estimated that slightly over 1% of all firearms deaths in the U. S. are unintentional.
