Right just now Hiddin' Biden's plan to bribe people to vote for him by dumping $400 billion of student loan onto the taxpayers has been held up by the federal appeals court. This matter will be argued before SCOTUS on February 28.
There
are apparently two main arguments being put forward by the pro-bribery
people. One is that the president does in fact have the authority on
his own to pour $400 billion down the toilet. The second is that it is
somehow tied to the Covid-19 emergency.
The
anti-bribery folks maintain that the president does not have the legal
authority to spend that much money absent specific congressional
appropriation. The constitution seems to support that position. They
are also maintaining that whatever tenuous connection this notion might
have to the plague it is about to be officially gone due to both
economic improvement and the plague moving into an endemic mode.
The
Biden scheme would kick down $20,000 for holders of Pell grants and up
to $10,000 for other student loan borrowers who earn not more than
$125,000 per year.
