The formerly great state of California has launched it's
first ever POST-CONVICTION JUSTICE UNIT. This unit will use new
exculpatory evidence , forensic advancements, osteomancy and Tarot
readings in order to review convictions. Several counties have already
implemented such a program. There are also a small number of Innocence
Project operations thru the state.
The
new division will be headed up by two Deputy A Gs in the criminal law
division. There will be no new budget for this division, at least so
far. But don't worry about that. The A G's wife is the head of the
legislative budget committee that oversees hid budget so I am confident
he will be well taken care of.
