Congressman
George Santos was thrown out of the House of Representatives today for
the crime of being a sleaze-ball.  He is only the sixth congressman ever
thrown out and the first to have been thrown out without any sort of
criminal indictment or conviction or clear act of treason.

Despite denying it, internet sleuths appear to have discovered that Santos - who is claimed to be pictured here dressed in drag in 2007 - confirmed it himself in a 2011 post on Wikipedia
I
confess I am conflicted about that.  He is an asshole and should never
have been elected but he WAS elected.  Absent something horribly
egregious it should be up to the voters to throw him out.  He we throw
out politicians for being sleazy assholes the buildings in D C will be
mostly empty.  Now that might be as good thing, but it should be done in
the correct manner with some sort of due process.

I think he may have walked away with a wink so no criminal charges would be brought. I could be wrong. I'm also a firm believer in due Process.
