Elon Musk has announced his intention to sue the California Coastal Commission over their recent 6-4 vote to seriously limit his ability to launch out of Vandenburg AFB in California.
Assuming Musk has it right the unelected regulatory body is pissed at his politics and was stupid enough to actually leave footprints, stating that they were turning him down because his tweets and public statements do not "align with California values."
The CCC had a serious problem with SpaceX being a private firm and question the idea that they are functioning as a military contractor. The CCC asserts that Musk needs further permits to increase his number of launches from 36 per year to 50 per year.

If you haven't watch the SpaceX video of the touch down recovery of the booster, do so. It makes NASA look incompetent. YouTube it.
