The second high profile (?) competitor for the gig of
Governor of the formerly great state of California has dropped out of
the race. Toni Atkins, formerly a member of the assembly and
semi-famous for being the first open lesbian to be something-or-other
within the legislative system decided she wasn't getting any traction
and should find someplace else to be the first lesbian to be a
something-or-other.
Maybe
it's just me but I have to think that it is kind of sad when the first
line of your obituary is likely to be "the first openly lesbian...."
But I guess in the woke society what you are is more important than what
you do.
