Dearborn, Michigan is home to the Islamic Center of America, the largest mosque in North America In amongst all the verbiage about the Mayor of Dearborn one interesting
fact emerged. Apparently many of the mosques in Dearborn use
loudspeakers to announce the 5 a.m. prayers in defiance of city
ordinance, and the cops and the city government are perfectly OK with
this. If you are trying to sleep at 5 a.m. that is just tough shit for
you.
