A MAGA mother in Portland, Oregon shared that she enjoys blocking her local EV charging station with her gas-powered car (pictured) to tick off environmentalists
A Republican mom in Oregon has admitted she blocks her local EV charging station with her gas-guzzling truck to annoy environmentalists.
The Portland resident, who goes by the name 'Based. In Portland.' on X, shared her cheeky tactic to push out the EV riders in her area on Wednesday morning.
She wrote: 'I park my V8 in the electric car charging spot - it's always right up front!' alongside an image of her big red car parked in the lot.
A V8 car is a gas-powered with an eight cylinder engine that is arranged in a V-like shape. It is most common in large trucks, SUVS and sports cars.
Meanwhile, EV cars run exclusively on electricity and are known to be popular among those who like to protect the environment.
The MAGA mother, who is also a member of Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA organization in her community, went on to mention how state taxpayers are the ones who fund the car charging docks.
'We the people paid millions in tax revenue to install these everywhere and literally no one uses them because they're slow and expensive,' she said, along with the hashtag #GreenScam.
In Oregon and many states across the country, taxpayers help fund EV stations through various federal, state and local programs.

Under her initial post, the woman said she loves 'feeling the tension' that arises when she decides to park her gas car there.
'Sometimes they get more mad when it’s empty like tonight… I love feeling the tension as they decide whether or not to say something - I can FEEEEL their internal dialogue - amazing!,' she wrote.
Several commenters supported the mom's decision to take the parking spot.
'Smartest,' one wrote while another simply put a laughing and fist emoji.
Another said: 'They'll be removing them soon at our expense, of course.
Meanwhile, another pitched a witty idea of how they would join the mother on her journey to irk EV users.
'You know this got me thinking about installing a fake plug on my F350 Powerstroke diesel pickup,' the user posted.
'I will just "plug it in" and start parking there.'
As of June 2025, there are 120,974 EVs in the state, according to Oregon.gov.
The conservative's post comes about a month after Jim Farley, the Chief Executive of Ford Motors, said American gas-powered vehicles, including the country's iconic pickup trucks, will not vanish forever despite EVs taking over in recent years.
The surge in gas guzzlers is due to Donald Trump's push to exile EVs so the nation's auto industry can thrive - especially in Detroit, the 'car capital' of the world.

US automakers are going back to their roots after switching their focus to electric vehicles that first became popular in 2010.
Although EVs are meant to be better for the planet, car manufacturers have had to use more resources to keep up with the fuel-efficient standards.
Ford, a top US car brand based out of Detroit, is already gearing up for the shift and changing its lineup by adding more commercial vehicles and large SUVs and taking out some EVs.
'This is a multibillion-dollar opportunity over the next couple of years,' Farley said in a call with analysts in August.
Trump's car policy changes came after he announced a 25 percent tariff on imported cars that came into effect in April.
Most electric cars sold in the US are already built domestically, meaning they won’t be affected by the tariff. Still, there are costs associated with EVs that companies have to front.

The fake plug in is a really great idea.
