GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN ??

There is a lot of noise, maybe mostly posturing, maybe not, about the government maybe shutting down in six days.  The Democrat-Socialists are DEMANDING that Trump put back in money that he took out for feel-good programs that they really want.  Trump has just put out a memo to government agencies telling them that maybe instead of furloughing employees IF the government shuts down those agencies should just go ahead and downsize and actually lay off a fair number of employees.

So, is he playing chicken?  Does he even KNOW if his position is for-real?  It isn't exactly a secret that he has been known to just throw shit out there to stir the pot.  Not exactly presidential, but it has gotten him elected twice so I am not sure he cares about my opinion.

Personally I have no problem with downsizing the federal government as long as you use some brains about how and where you do it, and not just use a yardstick.  Cutting back the guards for nuclear weapons or weather bureau monitors may not be the best places to cut.  Just saying.

If one side doesn't CARE if the government shuts down it is hard to scare them with a government shutdown.  

Trump has apparently recently cancelled a get-together previously scheduled for the Democrat-Socialist leadership.  I guess he thinks they have nothing to say to him, or maybe that he has nothing to say to them.
